STEVIE AND MAVERICK

We have had two very handsome cats living at Rochester Community Animal Clinic for a while now, and we’re hoping to find them a permanent, loving home together. They’re quite bonded, and we think adopting them out together would be best for both of them. While they do great as “hospital cats,” they’re alone during the weekends and nights and we know they’d prefer to be curled up in front of a fire or at on a warm lap instead!Maverick is a two-year-old, short-haired, brown tabby, neutered male. He originally came in as a neighborhood feral cat that was to be released back outside. He was very friendly and seemed to love lounging around inside, however, so the decision was made to keep him in where he would be safe and cared for. Maverick is a big boy, last weighing in at 17 lbs. (He is very fond of meals, but would like to lose a few pounds for the new year.)Stevie is a nine-month-old, short-haired, orange and white, neutered male. He was brought into the clinic for a very serious double eye infection and then relinquished when his owner decided she didn’t want to treat him. He has some scarring on both eyes that left him visually impaired, but it doesn’t slow him down a bit! He is very playful and has no problem running full-speed all around the clinic. Both cats spend their days napping on the front reception desk, judging incoming patients, examining what employees have for lunch, and thwacking the paper as it comes out of the printers. They’re desensitized to other cats and dogs but would probably love a quieter environment than the clinic has to offer. Stevie adores cat-friendly dogs and Maverick tolerates them (as long as they don’t bug him). Maverick gets a bit feisty when he is over-stimulated by a lot of barking dogs or unneutered cats, but he is working to control his temper. If anyone would like to meet the boys, please contact Cyndy at 730-9829.
